The Chinese Orchestra, HKUSTSU, also known as the HKUST Chinese Orchestra, was established in May 2000. The orchestra comprises undergraduate students, postgraduate students, alumni, and staff from various faculties, including the School of Engineering, the School of Science, and the School of Humanities and Social Science. HKUST Chinese Orchestra is dedicated to promoting musical exchange among its members through rehearsals and performances both on and off campus. The orchestra aims to celebrate and promote Chinese music culture, allowing the melodies of traditional Chinese music to resonate throughout the HKUST campus. It also serves as a space for students to take a break from their academic pressures.
