The Election Committee of the Students' Union Council (Election Committee) announced the preliminary results of the 2024 Student Union Annual Election By-elections last night (1/3). The nominated cabinet for the Executive Committee of the Student Union, "Flameau," was elected with 220 votes in favour, while the nominated cabinet for the Editorial Board, "Sentinel," was elected with 293 votes in favour. The online voting for the Students' Union Annual Election By-elections took place from 28/2 to 1/3. The voter turnout for this by-election was 37.98%, which is 23.61% higher than the turnout for the annual election, which was 14.37%. The total number of voters was 474, with 332 valid votes. According to Election Regulation, the Election Committee must complete the vote counting within 24 hours after the end of the voting and obtain confirmation of the results from the nominated cabinets and candidates from each unit.
